Follow the journey of Goku and Vegeta in the original Dragonball Z Series, throughout the Raditz saga and onto the end of the Frieza saga. Meanwhile, deep in outer space, an elite and ruthless fighter called Vegeta is on a mission to conquer a planet with his loyal companion, Nappa. Goku is on his way to a reunion with his friends at Master Roshi's house, when a mysterious, powerful being from outer space lands on Earth and begins searching for a person he calls Kakarot. STORY: 5 Years after Goku has defeated his nemesis Piccolo at the World Martial Arts Tournament, it is a time of peace on planet earth.

I decided to go with the beginning of DBZ up to Frieza, since there is no real action RPG game that covers it other than the original Legacy of Goku, which I personally didn't like too much, and also because it was probably my favorite part of the series growing up, and the part which introduced me into the Dragonball world. Recently found it when cleaning up my old computer, and with the DBZ love reignited by Dragonball Super, I decided to overhaul it into a DBZ battle system, and now hopefully into an actual game. Then I tried to make it into a game with an actual plot, but it didn't really work out and eventually I just kinda left it.

I started working on this project a few years ago as a standalone battle system in Sphere, back when I discovered this amazing software (I used to work with RM2k3 before). Right now, I'd rather just leave that as undecided, as I have a fairly flexible schedule to try and make work.BACKGROUND: A work-in-progress Dragonball Z game made in Sphere, based on the first major arc of the Z anime (Raditz to Frieza). As this all starts shaping up further, I'll be giving more information and narrowing down time slots. I dislike having to change details unless necessary, and seeing as how I don't know how this game is going to feel, or how involved the story is going to be, I don't have a point of reference in mind to use for a time. At the moment, and I preface this as with no offense offered or taken. I'm certain that as this continues, that link will be making the rounds in the social circle we're building up here. Right now, since I'm still trying to make this all take shape, I haven't made it a necessity to get it to every potential player, as I have a lot of questions I haven't been able to answer for myself. Pharis: I have put together a Discord server to use for voice chat and OOC discussion as the time draws closer. And Matthew, I'm hoping that my game won't be quite that bad. But if there is enough interest, I can work on it quite a bit quicker. Huge energy waves and transformations are a long ways off in my game, if at all showing up. Worth noting, this game will be much more on scale with Dragon Ball than Z. After the tournament, I hope a number of plot points will stand out to the players to chase down on their own, and lead to an interesting story arc involve villains of my own design. But the tournament proves to be more dangerous this year between a huge number of fighters unseen before, and many of them much more violent in their fighting styles. The 66th World Martial Arts tournament is being held and you're competing for your own reasons. The game takes place a couple hundred years after the events of the Cell Games, after a period of relative peace on earth. The Grand Kai's tournament and the Buu saga are probably being disregarded, as will GT and Super. Cell Games is the end of the canon ending for mine. Mutants and Masterminds PL6 game after the events of Dragon Ball and most of Dragon Ball Z. I'm actually working on something Dragon Ball related at the moment.
